Who is Genie Shopping?

Genie Shopping is a UK-based, high-growth performance marketing business operating through the affiliate channel and CSS ecosystem. As a certified Google CSS Premium Partner, we work with retail giants like Boots, ebay, Frasers, B&Q, Currys, and Lookfantastic, serving over 57 billion ad impressions to users across our network.

We differentiate ourselves through our managed CSS CPA model and our technical scale. We don’t act as a traditional CSS; we act as a performance partner. Alongside our self-managed SaaS offering, our core revenue comes from our CPA model, which means our success is directly aligned with our clients'. We are a driving force in the industry, leading the conversation through education, sponsorship, and active event contribution. This approach has led to huge success, doubling our growth in 2024 and setting new records in 2025.

We are a certified Great Place to Work with a remote-first setup. Our environment is small (~25 people) but ambitious. We value:

Autonomy: We hire people who want to own their output. If you love solving complex problems and implementing your own ideas, you will thrive here.

Connection: We prioritize culture over geography. We get together for proper team socials every quarter - think punting, cocktail making, and go-karting, to ensure we stay connected as people, not just colleagues.

The team is remotely based, but has fluidity in meeting in-person for client meetings, industry events, strategy days and team socials. There are requirements to travel to Cambridge, London (or other UK locations) once a month on average.

Job Overview

This is a 12-month fixed-term role covering maternity leave. You'll report directly to our new Chief Marketing Officer in a small marketing team, so it's a hands-on role with a lot of visibility and real influence over how marketing works at Genie.

There won't be a formal handover from the outgoing Marketing Manager. Instead, you'll be onboarded by the CMO and work closely with Strategic Partnerships, Existing Clients and the Website team from day one. We're looking for someone who's comfortable with some ambiguity, picks things up quickly and enjoys building as well as delivering.

The role description below reflects the permanent role in full. In practice, the first few months will centre on a smaller set of immediate priorities:

Rebrand and positioning: supporting delivery of our rebrand and applying the new positioning and messaging across the website, sales materials and communications.

Sales enablement: creating and updating the materials, case studies and content that Strategic Partnerships and Existing Clients need to win and grow accounts.

Events: planning and running our events programme, including follow-up and reporting so that we get better value from each event.

Planning and reporting: helping to set up a simple rhythm for planning, budget tracking and reporting, with measures linked to pipeline, GP and client growth.

The responsibilities below describe the full scope of the role. Your focus will be shaped by the Marketing roadmap as it's agreed over the coming months.

Key Responsibilities

Content & Brand Development

• Lead the creation and maintenance of marketing collateral, including case studies, whitepapers, and sales decks.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop compelling client success stories.

• Refresh and manage our B2B website - ensuring it reflects our brand, offering, and case studies.

• Develop and manage our LinkedIn presence: content planning, posting, and paid promotion.

• Design and execute email campaigns for lead nurturing and client engagement.

• Collaborate with Partnerships & Sales to align messaging and goals across campaigns.

Events & Partnerships

• Coordinate Genie’s involvement in webinars, industry events, and co-marketing partnerships.

• Be the point-person for all event logistics, promotional materials, and follow-up marketing

• Manage content creation around events (pre-event promotion, live coverage, and post-event recap).

Performance & Lead Generation

• Test and evaluate marketing channels such as LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, and paid placements in relevant trade publications.

• Track, measure, and report on marketing performance metrics, making data-informed recommendations for improvement.

Strategic Projects

• Play a lead role in any future brand refresh, managing the coordination between internal teams and creative/branding agencies.

• Support European market expansion with localised marketing support where needed.
